Summary:

The McNeill Story dates back to the late-1700's with Joe and Jennie McLean. Jennie's parents were born in Africa and Virginia. They were slaves to Archibold McLean. There were 12 children found using deed and wills of the slave owners. Living in the early 1800's in the Barbecue Township in Cumberland County now Harnett County, NC. Through the years they were divided and passed down from generation to generation of slave owner Archibold McLean and Archibold McNeill.
