Murder in Havana / Margaret Truman.

Summary:

It's not hard for another onetime CIA colleague to coax Max Pauling out of restless retirement. What's the mission this time? An ex-senator, who heads up a large American drug company, is using a German company as a front to get around the U.S. embargo of Cuba and get his hands on groundbreaking medical research on anticancer drugs. Max's assignment is to get the goods on the former senator, and then to get out fast. But in a country where murder is sanctioned for a greater good, or a greater greed, even a wily former agent can find himself caught in the crossfire and consumed as quickly as a frozen banana daiquiri.
